Product Description:
Introducing Hot Lime, a high-quality calcium oxide (CaO) provided by Changshu Hongyu Calcium Co., Ltd. This exceptional product is a multifaceted additive engineered for optimal performance in drilling fluids. Upon combination with water, it transforms into calcium hydroxide (lime, Ca(OH), offering enhanced capabilities for your drilling needs.2), serving a crucial role in managing clay hydration and dispersion in drilling fluids. This results in maintaining clay in an ideally balanced state of flocculation. Additionally, Hot Lime is a reliable source of calcium and alkalinity in oil-based muds, making it indispensable for a wide range of drilling environments.
In challenging wet or rainy settings, calcium hydroxide is the preferred choice over Hot Lime to avert undesirable reactions. The thermal output of Hot Lime when it contacts water is advantageous for constructing emulsions, proving beneficial in traditional oil mud systems. Its reaction with emulsifiers generates calcium soaps, delivering essential alkalinity under drilling conditions encountering acid gases such as carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide.
